As Intuit’s workforce expanded and demand for electric vehicle charging increased, the company faced the challenge of providing reliable, accessible charging infrastructure across its San Diego campus. Intuit needed a solution that could accommodate hundreds of EV drivers, support its ambitious carbon reduction goals, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems — all without incurring costly peak demand charges or requiring major electrical upgrades. The company sought a partner that could deliver a scalable, future-proof solution that would empower employees to choose carbon-free transportation and help Intuit exceed its net-zero emissions targets.

PowerFlex partnered with Intuit to deploy more than 370 Level 2 charging stations and 10 DC Fast Chargers throughout the San Diego campus, spanning entire floors of the parking structure. The system features custom display screens showing real-time station availability and is fully integrated with Intuit’s single-sign-on platform, allowing employees to easily access charging through their company credentials. Leveraging PowerFlex’s Adaptive Load Management® software, Intuit was able to install four times as many chargers as traditional configurations, without costly infrastructure upgrades or peak demand charges. This adaptive, scalable network not only meets the needs of a growing EV community but also supports Intuit’s ambitious sustainability goals by promoting carbon-free transportation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
