PowerFlex Partners with UMass Boston to Develop 1 MW Solar System on Campus

PowerFlex announces the development of a 1 MW rooftop solar system at the University of Massachusetts Boston campus. The project, comprised of a solar canopy atop a parking garage and a traditional roof-mounted solar array, will produce an estimated 1,200 MWh annually. Additionally, the project will incorporate car charging stations and a battery storage system developed by Enel X, a provider of demand response solutions and energy storage. Once the project is fully operational in the first half of 2020, UMass Boston will be one of the most sustainable college campuses in the United States. PowerFlex is proud to have been a part of this innovative and notable solar project.
